Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!



Here are some sweet snowmen which I have made for the Christmas holidays. All are nicely posing for their Christmas photo....Some are wrapped up with candy floss scarves and some are just cool and frosty....but still very cute!

Cat Silhouette

Hello. Here are some silhouettes of cats I have just painted. The simple, solid black shapes look so bold and striking, yet still retain some fragility as they are painted in watercolour. I do hope you enjoy them as much as I did painting them :)

Wooden Dishes

Hello there! I have just made this lovely set of painted dishes.
I purchased a set of 6 vintage wooden dishes and painted them with illustrations of cute little subjects. I think they look soooo sweeeet!...The teeny red suitcase is vintage too. They are painted in acrylics. The 'Balloon Rabbit' has tissue paper collage for the balloons and the 'Fox and Skylark' has a torn piece of paper of a William Blake poem. All are for hanging on a wall.

The Brothers Grimm and Hans Christian Andersen Fairytales

Hello! Last year I illustrated five borders each for two books by Miles Kelly on 'Grimm's Fairytales' and 'Hans Christian Andersen Fairytales'. They are now published and in the shops! Each border framed a heading in each of the books and also ran through the books framing all of the different fairytales by both The Brothers Grimm and Hans Christian Andersen. I used acrylic on all of the borders.
